Grapxo and Pacdora: which one for what in packaging?
Pacdora and Grapxo can come up side by side in a search for "online packaging design", but they do not do the same job. One is a broad platform built around dieline templates, 3D mockups, renders and AI design; the other is a narrower engine that turns a Turkish or English brief into print-ready vector files. This page compares the two using Pacdora’s own official pages and Grapxo’s published product information, and explains which step each one is useful for.
What is the main difference between Grapxo and Pacdora?
Pacdora is a browser-based packaging platform offering thousands of dieline templates, a dimension-based dieline generator, 3D mockups and, since 2026, AI design onto dielines. Grapxo is a vector engine that turns a chat or text brief and a logo into print-ready box or label files. Both place the design on a dieline; the difference is scope, language and the delivered files.
In practice the difference shows up in one question: what do you already have, and what do you need? If you have not chosen a box type yet and need to show a client a 3D visual, Pacdora’s library is a fast start. If the product’s size, copy and brand mark are settled and you want an editable file that goes to the printer, Grapxo’s approach is built for that step.
What is Pacdora good for?
According to Pacdora’s own pages, its strengths are more than 3,000 dieline templates, generating a dieline by entering size, material and paper thickness, free PDF dieline downloads (.ai and DXF with a subscription), more than 7,000 3D mockups, structures beyond boxes such as bottles, jars, cans, cups and bags, images up to 8K, renders and product video. In scope it is far broader than Grapxo. It is a practical choice for presentations, finding templates and mockup visuals. Plan details are kept current on its official pages.
Templates and the dieline generator
In Pacdora you pick a box template, enter dimensions, paper thickness and material, and download the dieline as .ai, PDF or DXF; PDF is free, .ai and DXF come with a subscription [P2][P4]. The template library includes categories such as mailer, food, gift, perfume and jewelry boxes [P3][P4].
3D mockups and presentation
Uploading a design to rotate it in a 3D preview, adjusting scenes and lighting, and exporting renders and product video are at the centre of Pacdora [P1][P4][P9]. Adding a QR code or barcode to the packaging and reaching printing services through Pacdora are also described on its product page [P4]. Pacdora states on its homepage that it has more than 4 million users [P1]; that is Pacdora’s own claim.
What is Grapxo good for?
Grapxo focuses on starting from a brief for a product whose size and content are known, and producing a layered vector surface with panels already placed on the dieline. The interface is Turkish, with English too, and the studio recognises structure names in both. The output is a ZIP: cutter SVG + DXF, dieline SVG + PDF, combined and artwork SVG, a print PDF and a separate effects PDF with foil, spot UV and emboss as spot layers. Grapxo does not offer material selection; it writes a recommendation, and material, thickness and cutting approval are settled with the printer.
From brief to surface
The brief holds product dimensions, box or label type, brand name, variants and mandatory copy; a logo can be uploaded optionally. The vector engine places the surface on the dieline from these inputs. The engine produces 25 box and pouch structures, from tuck-end, reverse tuck, lock-bottom and auto-bottom boxes through window, pillow, hinged-lid, drawer, telescope and shoulder boxes, trays, display boxes, bottle carriers, pizza and gable boxes, mailers and RSC shippers to stand-up pouches, plus nine label options; rigid boxes get base and lid only, doypacks and tubes a print surface only. There are no bottles, cups, plastic boxes or inserts. The steps are on How the Grapxo vector engine works.
Several outputs from one brief
When a box and a label need to share one brand language, asking for several parts from the same brief keeps the system consistent. The flow is on One brief, multiple packaging outputs. For handing the file to a printer, the Layered vector output checklist is the guide.
AI approach: both work on the dieline, the output differs
In April 2026 Pacdora announced AI Creation: artwork is generated directly onto a production-accurate dieline chosen from its library and reviewed as a 3D mockup [P7][P8]. So "AI design on the dieline" is no longer unique to Grapxo. Grapxo’s difference is the chat/brief-first Turkish flow, editable vector layers and a separate effects file for the printer.
AI design in Pacdora’s own words
According to Pacdora, the user types brand, colours, packaging type and style into a chat, and the AI drafts a first design. On the canvas a single element can be changed by hand or by AI; the product image exports in 4K or 8K and the dieline as PDF or DXF. It can be tried with Pacdora’s own AI credits; commercial use and rights terms are explained in Pacdora’s FAQ and terms of service [P5].
Grapxo’s vector approach
In Grapxo every text and shape is a separate vector object; the output is a layered file, not a picture. Foil, spot UV and emboss come as spot layers in an effects PDF separate from the print file. Running the same brief again keeps the layout logic; revisions happen through the brief. Common misunderstandings on this topic are covered on AI packaging myths.
Can they be used together?
Yes. For example, you can settle the box type and mockup in Pacdora and then produce the print surface at the same size in Grapxo, or take Grapxo’s output into a mockup for a presentation. Rather than assuming both tools do the same job, choose by step. You only need to check that dimensions match in both tools.
A sample flow: try box types in Pacdora’s templates, note the dimensions of the structure you like, write the same dimensions and copy into a Grapxo brief, and approve the resulting vector surface on a printer’s proof. If you need a presentation, take the approved surface into a mockup. The point to watch is file transfer: Grapxo does not import external dielines. Type the dimensions of the structure you tried in Pacdora into the brief.
Which one should I choose?
If a template library, 3D mockups and presentation visuals come first, Pacdora makes sense; if print-ready SVG/DXF/PDF plus a separate effects file from a Turkish or English brief for a box or label of known size comes first, Grapxo does. Before deciding, try both tools’ free starting options with your own product. Whichever tool the final file comes from, do not skip the printer’s proof.

Next step in Grapxo
If your product size and copy are ready, open a project in the studio, write the brief, and let the engine produce the first surface on the dieline. Questions: info@grapxo.com
Frequently asked questions
Is Pacdora free?
Pacdora has a free tier and subscription plans; PDF dielines are free, .ai and DXF come with a subscription. Current details are on Pacdora’s pricing page.
Does Grapxo make 3D mockups like Pacdora?
Not to the same extent. Grapxo shows an in-browser 3D preview of the folded box, pouch, flacon and jar; it does not export renders or video.
Can I use a Pacdora dieline in Grapxo?
Not as a file; Grapxo does not import external dielines. Type the dimensions into the brief and the engine generates the net at that size.
Does Pacdora also do AI design on the dieline?
Yes. Pacdora announced AI Creation in April 2026; Grapxo’s difference is the Turkish flow and a separate effects file for the printer.
Which one has a Turkish interface?
Grapxo’s interface is Turkish, with English too. No Turkish interface was found for Pacdora (pacdora.com/tr returned 404, 11.10.2026).
Does it make sense to use both?
Yes; Pacdora for presentation and mockups, Grapxo for the print surface. Check that dimensions match.
