Design licence

This section governs how you may use the designs you create and download in the Grapxo studio. Here, the buyer is the person or business that owns the account that downloads the design. The common terms apply to every plan; on top of them, Starter and Pro carry a licence for your own brand, and Agency carries a commercial licence.

Common terms for every plan

  1. 1For every design made in the Grapxo studio and downloaded with a plan right or a single right, the buyer receives a perpetual, worldwide, non-transferable licence to use it. Designs you have already downloaded stay usable after a subscription ends.
  2. 2The design may be used on packaging, labels and promotional material with no limit on print quantity.
  3. 3The design itself (as a blank or editable template), and the ornaments, patterns and drawings in it, may not be sold separately, shared, put on template sites or added to any other library. This ban applies even if the design has been changed.
  4. 4Ornaments and drawings in the design may not be made part of a logo or a registered trademark. A logo the buyer uploaded is outside this ban.
  5. 5The buyer keeps the rights to the logos, text and images they upload, and is responsible for making sure these do not infringe anyone else’s rights.
  6. 6The licence is recorded with a separate licence document for every download. The document number can be verified at grapxo.com/en/licence. Use without a licence document is not licensed.
  7. 7Grapxo reserves the right to revoke the licence if these terms are breached.

Licence for your own brand (Starter and Pro)

  1. 1The design may be used only on brands that belong to the person or business that owns the buyer’s account. These brands stay within the plan’s brand limit: 1 on Starter, 3 on Pro.
  2. 2The buyer may edit the design as they wish for their own brand and print it.
  3. 3Even if edited, the design may not be used in the name of another person or company, adapted for them or sold to them.
  4. 4The buyer may send the print file only to the printer who will print their own job. The printer may not use the file for any other job.

Commercial licence — you may offer it to your clients (Agency)

  1. 1Every design downloaded within the monthly rights may be edited for the brand of the agency’s or printer’s own client, delivered to that client and sold to them for a fee.
  2. 2Each download is valid for one end-client brand only. Using the same design for another client needs a new download right. Re-downloading the same design for the same brand stays free.
  3. 3The end client uses the design only on their own brand. The agency tells its client this restriction in writing. The licence document can stand in for that notice.
  4. 4Selling the design as a blank template, or as the same design to several clients, is banned on this plan too (common term 3).
