When sleeve alone
Lower damage risk, strong bottle silhouette, cost pressure. Risk: scuffs in shipping and on shelf. Duty-free and ecommerce often want an outer carton.
When outer box or a set
Gifting, shipping, dense legal copy, or sample inserts. Sleeve + carton means two dielines, one brand system.
